Do you think that less and less American’s will be attending post secondary education?

The American public school system is atrocious. I spent most of my life living in Canada, going to a prestigious private school. Being that it is private school, it is understandable that most of the students were quite intelligent but even in the public schools the students were smart and the system seemed to work well. When I left that school to go back to the USA for my last two years, most of the kids were plain stupid. It was difficult to carry a somewhat intelligent conversation with most of them. I noticed this with kids from every school I saw in the USA. Has anyone else recognized this issue?
It’s the internet, don’t be such a hard asses. Sometimes normal people forget to use 100% perfect grammar when typing. It’s not like you don’t understand what I’m saying.
